Job Description Summary Join a team developing next-generation medical imaging systems where your hands-on expertise directly impacts product performance, reliability, and patient outcomes. This is not a routine test role—you will build, debug, and improve complex prototype hardware systems in a fast-paced engineering environment. Job Description
WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT
This is not a production role — you will not be assembling the same product repeatedly on a line Engineering development lab environment with constantly evolving hardware systems Minimal bureaucracy with a strong focus on fast iteration Work on one-of-a-kind prototype systems where procedures may not yet exist Direct impact on design decisions, system performance, and product direction
DEBUGGING & PROBLEM OWNERSHIP
Own hardware issues from discovery through root cause and resolution Troubleshoot problems with incomplete data and multiple variables Drive to true root cause using schematics, tools, and system knowledge Serve as a go-to troubleshooter for complex issues
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Rework and modify prototype PCB hardware down to 0402 components Perform complex soldering and hardware modifications including IC replacement and daughter cards Troubleshoot hardware using oscilloscopes, meters, and schematics Configure and manage multiple prototype systems Set up and execute experiments and data acquisition testing Analyze and document results and recommendations Support system-level hardware/software debugging Improve system performance, reliability, and serviceability
HOW THE TEAM WORKS

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree or equivalent, or HS diploma with 2+ years experience Strong troubleshooting skills at board and subsystem level Experience with electronic hardware and test equipment Ability to interpret schematics and technical data Strong documentation and communication skills Ability to work with general direction in dynamic environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field Strong surface mount soldering and rework experience Experience in prototype or engineering lab environment

Maintain accurate and traceable records of work Comply with quality, regulatory, and EHS requirements Support continuous improvement efforts
