Job Description

A strong manufacturing company in North Phoenix is looking for an experienced Technical Writer. This individual will be an integral part of the engineering team and will be responsible for creating and maintaining all technical documentation. This includes user manuals, installation guides, troubleshooting guides, checklists, white papers and other technical documents. The technical writer will be a key member of team, interacting with multiple groups within the organization including engineering, new product development, validation, technical support, and quality as well as interfacing with OEM customers. Par rate starts at $35-40/hr DOE Shift is Monday-Friday approx 7am-3:30pm General Responsibilities The Technical Writer will be a member of a multi-disciplined engineering team to provide documentation support for thermal test solutions to the semiconductor industry. The position is responsible for engineering support of production activities. This technical writer will work closely with manufacturing personnel to support documentation of existing production lines, and processes.
The role will include:
  • Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements
  • Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience
  • Write easy-to-understand user interface text and development guides
  • Create tutorials to help end-users with product line
  • Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and correctness
  • Create and maintain the information architecture Experience/Qualifications A high school degree or higher and 4+ years of relevant work experience; especially in production setting Proven working experience in technical writing of production documentation Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures Excellent written skills in English and additional Spanish or Chinese is a plus Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
Pay:
$35.00 - $40.00 per hour
