As the Construction Proposal Writer, you must have the ability to craft language in a way that captures the essence of complex technical concepts and presents them in an easily understandable manner. You will have a deep interest and willingness to learn about multiple construction and engineering disciplines beyond a cursory understanding. This position will be responsible for the development of proposals and qualifications packages in response to RFPs, RFQs, SOQ requests, and IFB. Working closely with Estimators, Engineers, Designers, and company executives the Construction Proposal Writer will create clear and compelling pursuit materials that showcase our company's expertise and value. We are ideally looking for someone who enjoys managing a variety of projects, deep dives into the niche construction and engineering topics, and developing high-quality, engaging content in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:

Write compelling proposal content, to include project descriptions, personnel resumes, cover letters, and other proposal sections as directed by the Proposal Manager Work under the guidance of the Proposal Manager to weave in proposal themes Collaborate with design and construction Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) Participate in the proposal review process by making and receiving critiques Interview SMEs to create project descriptions and resumes Format and edit proposal content per the company's style guide Research project data by reading through plans, specifications, basis of design documents, and other project files Help keep our content archive organized Tailor content from our archive to suit new RFPs Research industry trends, customer preferences, and customer data to influence tailoring Learn construction means, methods, trends, and terminology Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree (communications, marketing, or writing-related field preferred but not required) 3+ years' experience in a writing-related position (A/E/C preferred) Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills Foundational understanding of proposal best practices Willingness to learn and adapt

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher) Experience with other software products (e.g., In Design, Photoshop, Canva, etc.) is a plus
