Documentation Engineer 3.1 3.1 out of 5 stars 149 Addison Road, Windsor, CT 06095 Full-time Accutron, Inc 14 reviews Full-time Foxtronics is a growing Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) company specializing in PCB assembly and electronic manufacturing solutions for a wide range of industries. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Documentation Engineer to support our manufacturing and engineering operations. This position plays a critical role in creating and maintaining manufacturing documentation, bills of material, process routing, SMT programming, and engineering change control for PCBA production. Responsibilities Create and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs) for PCB assemblies. Review customer BOMs and convert them into internal EVO format. Create and maintain manufacturing process documentation and routing. Generate process documentation using Factory Logix software. Create and maintain SMT pick-and-place and AOI programs. Assign internal part numbers to components as required. Order SMT stencils from customer-provided Gerber data modified to company standards. Generate and manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs/ECOs). Maintain revision control and document accuracy throughout the manufacturing process. Work closely with Manufacturing, Test, Purchasing, and Engineering teams to resolve documentation and process issues. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities. Participate in continuous improvement and employee training initiatives. Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in EMS or PCBA manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of SMT and PCB assembly manufacturing processes. Experience working with Bills of Material (BOMs), ECNs, routing, and manufacturing documentation. Experience using Factory Logix or similar MES/documentation software. Strong computer skills and ability to quickly learn new software systems. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with AOI and pick-and-place programming. Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems. Knowledge of IPC standards and quality systems. Experience working with Gerber files and stencil generation. Education Associate degree in Computer Science, Electronics Technology, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred. Equivalent industry experience will be considered. Additional Requirements Due to customer and export compliance requirements, applicants must be U.S. citizens or otherwise authorized to access controlled technical data.
