Our team values precision, innovation, and collaboration, and we are looking for a skilled Technical Illustrator to contribute to mission-critical projects within the Interactive Electronic Technical Manual System (IETMS) framework. Role Overview As a Technical Illustrator, you will create and refine highly detailed illustrations for technical manuals and support documentation in compliance with federal and ISO standards such as S1000D and

MIL-STD-3001.

Working within the IETMS platform, you will collaborate with technical writers, engineers, and subject matter experts to transform complex technical concepts into clear, accurate, and visually compelling graphics. Requirements Key Responsibilities

• Develop and edit illustrations for technical manuals and documentation using IETMS.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical writers, engineers, QA teams, and project managers.
• Convert engineering schematics, 3D models, photographs, and other resources into legible compliant technical illustrations.
• Manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain quality assurance standards.
• Support continuous improvement of technical illustration workflows and tools.

Qualifications Required Experience:

Demonstrated experience with IETMS or similar formats that utilize technical illustration.

Software Proficiency:

Proficiently in Adobe Illustrator is required. Proficiency in SolidWorks, or similar CAD tools is preferred.

Technical Knowledge:

Strong understanding of engineering drawings, schematics, and technical data packages (TDPs).

Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Attention to

Meticulous attention to quality and consistency.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of XML and HTML.
• Familiarity with federal contracting environments and processes.
• Experience working with technical documentation for military or aerospace systems.
• Proficiency in creating 3D visuals and animations for technical applications.
• Knowledge of S1000D and other technical data standards.

Education BFA, BA, or relevant experience in Technical Illustration, Industrial Design, Mechanical Design, Engineering or similar applied technical graphics field. Clearance Must have or be willing to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance.
