Job Description
Position Summary The Outsourced Chief Investment Office (OCIO) partners with Morgan Stanley Financial Advisors across all channels to offer discretionary portfolio management services to institutional and private clients (Endowments, Foundations, Corporate & Public Retirement Plans, Family Offices and Ultra-High Net-Worth) of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. The OCIO Business Development team is seeking an experienced professional to lead the development of high-impact proposals for OCIO mandates serving endowments and foundations. This role is central to winning institutional mandates and the ideal candidate has excellent writing skills, strong project management abilities, and knowledge of institutional investment management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze RFI/RFP documents to understand client requirements, evaluation criteria and submitting guidelines
- Lead and coordinate the proposal development process from kickoff to submission
- Write, edit and format high-quality proposal content, ensuring clarity, consistency, and compliance
- Craft compelling, tailored narratives that clearly communicate OCIO capabilities, including asset allocation, manager selection, portfolio construction, risk management and governance support
- Partner closely with Financial Advisors, portfolio managers and product specialists to gather technical and business information
- Ensure all proposals meet deadlines and adhere to brand, legal and regulatory standards
- Manage multiple proposals simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Support finalist presentations and pitch materials
- Own and continuously enhance the OCIO proposal content library including differentiation messaging, case studies and more
- Support all aspects of institutional sales for our OCIO Nonprofit business
Qualifications:
- Ability to lead business development opportunities end-to-end and manage multiple senior stakeholders
- Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Experience in the RFP/RFI, grant writing, technical writing, or similar space
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat Pro proficient
- Proficiency in RFP response software (e.g. Loopio) is strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree required

- Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $85,000 and $140,000 per year at the commencement of employment.
- Expected base pay rates for the role will be between 110,000 and 190,000 per year at the commencement of employment.
