Job Description
WSC Staffing is currently hiring an experienced Technical Writer for a temporary contract opportunity with an engineering-focused company. This assignment is expected to last up to 3 months and offers flexible scheduling for the right candidate. We are looking for someone with previous technical writing experience who can help organize, update, and improve technical manuals, engineering documentation, and support materials. This is a great opportunity for candidates with experience supporting manufacturing, engineering, industrial, software, or hardware environments.

Pay:
$35/hr Temporary contract assignment (up to 3 months) Flexible hours Fully remote OR on-site in Virginia Immediate opening
Responsibilities:
Review and update technical manuals and support documentation Edit and reorganize existing engineering documents Help standardize formatting and documentation structure Work directly with engineering teams to gather technical information Create and improve user guides, manuals, and reference materials Assist with software and hardware documentation updates
Qualifications:
Previous technical writing experience
REQUIRED
Strong writing, editing, and formatting skills Ability to understand technical or engineering-related information Experience with technical manuals, SOPs, software documentation, or product documentation Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Able to work independently and manage deadlines
Preferred Background:
Engineering or manufacturing documentation Industrial or automation environments Software or hardware documentation API or system documentation experience Experience working with engineers or technical teams Writing samples may be requested during the interview process.
