- Job Analyst Immediate vacancy due to a promotion
- reporting to the Director of Information Technologies
- within a well-established, stable, service organization in Macon, Georgia.
Responsible for:
- Interpreting & communicating complex data into actionable reports that support leadership's informed decision-making
- Evaluating the purpose & content of various business reports to develop new or enhance the format, use and/or control of standardized reports [65%]
- Serving as a liaison between end users & software providers
Responsibilities:
- Initial project will be confirming data integrity between multiple data sets
- Report writing & presenting findings in a useful format to the leadership team
- primarily diagrams & charts in Excel
- Utilizing data mining to extract information from various datasets & identify patterns
- Defining & documenting system scope, technical requirements & proposed logical view using structure design & analysis techniques
- Designing & optimizing test plans for unit, integration & user acceptance tests
- Creating & maintaining documentation for future use including system issues & their resolutions
- Assisting end users with functional applications, problem resolution, training & support
- as needed
Education or Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of four years' experience in application management
- report writing experience in a department other than IT is acceptable
- Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Information Technology or a related field of study
Knowledge Requirements & Preferences:
- Ability to edit existing & create new reports, queries & portal statistics
- Through knowledge of & experience using relational database architecture, Structured Query Language (SQL), PL/SQL & XML
- Familiarity with metadata, data organization, data quality assessment & data profiling
- Familiarity with accounting practices & reporting as position works closely with the CFO
- 80% of reports are financial & 20% operational
- Willingness to thoroughly understand users' needs
- Knowledge of Cognos & Crystal reporting & query tools
- a plus
- Knowledge of Java script & shell scripting
- a plus
Compensation, Benefit & Relocation Package:
- $73,000
- 75,000 starting base salary dependent upon experience
