Job Description:
Reporting to the Senior Data Strategy & Solutions manager, the Reporting Services Analyst (RSA) serves as a key subject matter expert for college wide reporting tools. The RSA maintains the day to day support of reporting services including, but not limited to, Entrinsik's Informer and Workday. The RSA works with clients to solve reporting issues and provide universal expertise and guidance with query writing and system performance. As part of a data management team focused on data governance, data quality, and reporting, the RSA provides support to the ongoing refinement of internal best practices by developing close partnerships internally and externally. The RSA is a liaison between Berklee's business areas and other technical areas to assess reporting needs and requirements for making reporting related recommendations that improve business processes, meet business needs and/or enhance the end-user experience. The RSA adds industry knowledge and will be a subject matter expert in enterprise reporting related discussions. The RSA will work on and sometimes manage reporting projects within the Enterprise Technology Services project portfolio. This position will be a critical player working directly with the Senior Data Strategy & Solutions Manager to establish an enterprise data strategy for the institution. Minimum Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in business systems, information technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years experience building and supporting enterprise reporting services.
  • Experience with different reporting in different applications; Workday, Colleague, Powercampus, Salesforce
  • Experience in troubleshooting issues and excellent follow-up skills.
Essential Functions/Primary Duties and Responsibilities Maintain day to day support of reporting services and supports clients with query writing and dashboard reporting and analytics. Provide support across different platforms; Workday, Informer, Colleague, Powercampus, Snowflake. Support data mart/warehouse implementation with support, planning, and development. Identify and resolve or lead teams to resolve reporting issues. Serves as liaison between business users and technical staff. Supports a reporting users' group for report writers. Provide subject matter expertise on the use of college-wide enterprise reporting services. Maintain a high level of communication with internal and external teams; providing clear, tactful, and complete directives, realistic deliverable deadlines and prompt feedback. Manages and contributes to Enterprise Technology Services projects. Maintain a thorough understanding of existing service offerings and awareness of technical and business direction. Contribute and be part of the Workday Student Implementation project to migrate from legacy student information systems to Workday. Support data reconciliation on Workday Student data conversion workstream Create, edit, and test reports for Workday Student. Run comparison of report requirements across legacy platforms to Workday requirements. Train report writers on writing reports following best practices. Assists with translating business requirements into technical specifications. Follow Enterprise Systems guidelines. Participate as a member of college committees. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Solid interpersonal skills for understanding the broad range of needs and various support requirements for delivering exemplary customer service. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written formats as well as to create and maintain positive, productive working relationships with both technical and non-technical personnel. Excellent judgment and strategic skills for ensuring mutually positive outcomes, balancing internal priorities with client objectives. Strong problem solving and organizational skills. Strong history of and dedication to client service. Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative. Strong attention to detail. Ability to operate independently and set priorities amongst multiple task assignments. Equally comfortable with detailed analysis and research and with 'big-picture' considerations and priorities. Ability to manage multiple tasks, assignments and projects. Demonstrated capacity to develop & maintain effective working relationships with individuals & organizations reflecting a broad range of identities, perspectives & experiences. SQL, Javascript, or programming skills, a plus. Higher Education experience preferred. This position may provide an opportunity for limited remote work.
Hiring Range:
