Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Senior Technical Writer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will craft clear, accurate, and engaging technical documentation that empowers users and supports product development. Your expertise will ensure that complex technical information is communicated effectively across various platforms, enhancing user experience and fostering understanding. Duties Develop comprehensive technical documentation including user manuals, product guides, API documentation, and training materials that meet project requirements and audience needs. Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and subject matter experts to gather accurate information and translate it into clear, concise content. Proofread, copy edit, and fact-check all documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency with style guides (such as AP style and Chicago Manual of Style), and adherence to brand standards. Conduct research to stay current on product features, industry trends, and best practices in technical writing. Edit drafts for clarity, coherence, grammar, punctuation, and tone; refine content through multiple review cycles to achieve high-quality deliverables. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines; prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-moving environment. Assist in developing templates, style guides, and content standards to streamline documentation processes across teams. Qualifications Proven experience in technical writing or related roles with a strong portfolio demonstrating diverse documentation projects. Exceptional writing skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and engagingly. Expertise in proofreading, copy editing, editing for clarity, grammar, style (including AP style), and fact-checking. Strong research skills with the ability to synthesize technical information from various sources accurately. Familiarity with journalism principles and creative writing techniques to enhance content engagement. Proficiency in word processing software and content management systems; experience with tools such as Adobe FrameMaker or MadCap Flare is a plus. Knowledge of technical writing standards including the Chicago Manual of Style; experience with proposal writing is advantageous. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Ability to adapt writing style for different audiences while maintaining consistency across all documentation.
