Yes•opportunity for long-term staff position We are hiring a highly experienced Senior Editor to support our political coverage team during the 2026 election cycle. This is a demanding, deadline-driven role requiring strong editorial judgment, rapid turnaround capabilities, and consistent after-hours availability. The ideal candidate has experience working in political media, broadcast, digital news, or fast-paced editorial environments and is comfortable handling urgent edits and communications during nights and weekends. This is an in-office position in Washington, DC . Key Responsibilities Edit political and news-related content with speed and accuracy Ensure editorial quality and consistency across deliverables Communicate with writers, producers, and leadership on tight deadlines Respond to editorial requests, emails, and text messages after standard business hours Support coverage needs during nights and weekends throughout the political cycle Required Qualifications Senior-level editing experience in news, politics, broadcast, or digital media Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Availability during evenings, weekends, and outside normal business hours isREQUIRED
