Job Description

The Program in Film, Television, and Interactive Media at Brandeis University seeks an instructor for FILM 110B, Motion Picture Editing, a 4 credit course to be offered in the fall semester of 2026. The course focuses on the editor's role in cinematic storytelling. It provides both an overview of the history and theory of editing and practical training in editing digital video with Adobe Premiere Pro. The class meets on Mondays, 2:30-5:20. Enrollment is limited; the course draws primarily from Film majors. Candidates with an advanced degree in an appropriate field and relevant professional and/or teaching experience will be given preference. Interested individuals should submit a cover letter, CV, a draft syllabus, and names and contact information for two references. This appointment is to a position included in a collective bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local 509. The compensation for this assignment is $8764.20.
