Job Description
Exposure is a long-form documentary and interview platform focused on environmental health, industry, public policy, science, and the human stories behind them. We produce in-depth conversations, documentary features, short-form social content, and current-events segments designed to inform, challenge, and engage audiences. Responsibilities Edit long-form interviews (30-120+ minutes) into polished episodes. Create short-form clips for YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, TikTok, and Facebook. Incorporate B-roll, graphics, photos, maps, news footage, and supporting visual assets. Clean up audio, balance levels, and improve pacing. Create basic motion graphics, lower thirds, titles, and transitions. Work from transcripts to identify compelling clips and story moments. Collaborate with producers to maintain editorial accuracy and narrative flow. Organize project files and maintain a clean media workflow. Preferred Qualifications Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro. Working knowledge of After Effects Experience editing documentary, journalism, podcast, or interview-based content. Ability to tell compelling stories from long-form conversations. Strong attention to detail and factual accuracy. Self-directed and able to meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Ideal Candidate You are more than a technician. You understand storytelling, pacing, audience retention, and how to transform a two-hour conversation into both a compelling documentary-style episode and multiple engaging short-form clips. Experience with environmental issues, science communication, public policy, investigative journalism, or documentary filmmaking is a significant plus. Compensation Freelance/project-based. Compensation commensurate with experience. Potential for ongoing work as the platform expands.
