Job Description
Description Are you a visual storyteller who gets excited about turning complex technology stories into sharp, engaging video content that earns attention, not just impressions? Do you thrive on quick-turnaround production and know how to make something look great even when the timeline is tight? The AWS Owned Content team is seeking a versatile and creative Video Producer/Editor to help take our visual storytelling to the next level. Key job responsibilities
- Own end-to-end production of video content from pre-production planning and scripting through shooting, editing, and final delivery.
- Operate camera and audio equipment in a range of settings, with a particular strength in fast-turnaround, editorially driven production where you may be planning, shooting, and editing within the same day.
- Edit video content to a high standard, including assembly, color correction, sound mixing, motion graphics, and formatting for multiple platforms and aspect ratios.
- Develop creative concepts and treatments that translate complex technical topics into compelling, visually driven stories for non-technical audiences.
- Step in as on-camera presenter when the format calls for it.
- Collaborate with teams across AWS to identify stories, align messaging, and shape editorial direction.
- Manage production logistics including scheduling, equipment, location scouting, and coordination with internal and external talent.
- Build and maintain scalable production workflows that allow a small team to publish consistently and at a high-quality bar.
- Stay current with video trends, platform best practices, and emerging formats — particularly across YouTube, social video, and short-form content.
- Contribute to the team's broader content strategy by surfacing story ideas and identifying opportunities where video can add the most value.
- 7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
- Proficiency with professional camera systems and lighting/audio equipment
- Advanced editing skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent NLE software
- Experience producing content for YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, or other digital video platforms
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality video on tight turnarounds
- Experience working in technology, SaaS, or B2B environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex or technical subject matter into accessible visual narratives
- Experience managing production timelines and logistics, working independently and with cross-functional teams
- Experience producing and editing user generated content
- Confident coaching employees and executives on camera Preferred Qualifications
- Motion graphics and animation skills (After Effects, or similar)
- Experience with color grading, sound design, and audio mixing
- Background in journalism, news production, documentary, or editorial video
- Familiarity with SEO, metadata optimization, and audience growth strategies for YouTube
- Experience with short-form video production and social-first content formats
- Experience producing content at scale for large events and conferences
- Self-driven, entrepreneurial spirit — enjoys building on existing foundations and taking ownership of creative output
- Familiarity with emerging production tools including AI-assisted editing and content workflows
- Experience producing content that has driven measurable engagement, earned media pickup, or audience growth Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
