Immediately Job Description The Texarkana Arkansas School District is seeking applicants for a high school (grades 9-12) Video Production teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The Video Production Teacher is responsible for developing and delivering engaging lessons in video production, broadcasting, and multimedia. This role supports students in learning technical skills, creative storytelling, and industry-standard practices in film and media production. The teacher will guide students in creating projects such as short films, news broadcasts, and digital media content. Duties and Responsibilities include: Develop and implement curriculum aligned with state standards and industry practices. Instruct students on video production techniques, including scripting, filming, editing, lighting, sound, and post-production. Teach students to use industry-standard software and equipment (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DSLR cameras, audio equipment). Supervise student projects and facilitate hands-on learning experiences. Coordinate and manage school-related video projects, including event coverage and announcements. Stay up-to-date with trends and advancements in video production and integrate them into instruction. Prepare students for competitions, showcases, or career-related certifications.Qualifications:
Required Bachelor's degree in Media Production, Film, Communication, Education, or a related field. Valid teaching certification (or willingness to obtain if applicable to district requirements). Proficiency with video editing software and media equipment. Pass a national criminal background check; Pass a background check of the Arkansas Child Maltreatment Central Registry; Preferred Previous teaching experience at the secondary level. Industry experience in video production, broadcasting, or related fields. Experience in directing student media productions or managing school broadcasts.Position Type:
