Job Description

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Videographer who can film live event with one introduction speaker and then two speakers in conversation, followed by audience Q&A. Can operate Sony FX30 and Sony a6700 and setup wireless mics. OR have own equipment to fulfill the needs outlined below: 2x cinema cameras (Sony/Canon/Equivalent) Ideally Two wireless lav mics (a third for intro speaker is a plus) that can be given to speakers and connected to your camera or an audio recorder. Venue will be using handheld mics with Bluetooth connection to speakers, no soundboard or mixer to plug into. Potentially, room audio could be sufficient.
Two-camera setup:
  • One wide angle shot with both speakers and some of the room
  • One close up shot to switch between speakers
  • A one camera setup with a two shot of the speakers could potentially work as well.
There will be an audience Q&A session, but it isn't critical to record each person asking questions, better to stay on speakers for answers. The event also includes a networking reception and it would be good to get some b-roll (on-camera mic or without audio) of the networking reception. This is a benefit but not critical. Run of Show 4:00pm: Videographer arrive for setup 5:15pm: Mic talent 5:30-6:40pm: Event 6:40-7:30pm: Networking Reception 7:30-8:00pm: Breakdown and pack up, everyone out by 8pm Event is near Judiciary Square Metro stop. Videographer just needs to film event and record good audio. NO livestream is required.
INSURANCE
This venue does require an MOU with specific insurance requirements. Please make sure you can meet these requirements:
  • Vendor (you) will maintain insurance as follows, unless written approval is obtained from the Venue.
  • Worker's Compensation Insurance:
    $1,000,000 (or upon written approval from Venue, such amount necessary to cover Vendor's employees)
  • General Liability Insurance:
    $1,000,000 per occurrence
  • Damages to
Rented Premises:
$1,000,000 per occurrence Prior to providing services at the Venue, Vendor must provide a certificate of insurance as evidence that the insurance requirements of this section have been met. Vendor is responsible for providing updated certificates of insurance to the Venue in the event of a change to insurance.
