Not because it's hard. Because every time you post a behind-the-scenes photo from work, they're going to assume you're lying. "Wait... they PAY you to do that?" Yes. Yes, they do. About The Job We're looking for someone to create photo and video content for HawaiiTours.com and our growing family of brands.
Your office might be:
A boat. A beach. A helicopter landing area. A waterfall trail. A tour bus. A coffee shop pretending to work while dumping footage. Some days you'll be editing videos in Waikīkī. Other days you'll be standing somewhere ridiculous thinking: "I cannot believe this is technically a Tuesday." What You'll Actually Be Doing Filming tours and adventures across Hawaiʻi Taking photos of guests having the time of their lives Creating TikToks, Reels, Shorts, and YouTube videos Flying drones without crashing them into coconut trees Interviewing tourists who just saw a honu for the first time Following our team around with a camera Capturing moments that make people immediately want to book a trip Important Skills You should know how to: Shoot video Edit video Take photos Tell a story You should also be able to: Wake up early occasionally Not lose SD cards Remember to hit record Resist saying "we'll fix it in post" every five minutes Things That May Happen At some point during this job you may find yourself: On a boat chasing dolphins with a camera Flying to another island for a content shoot Getting paid to watch a sunset Explaining to your parents that this is, in fact, a real career Creating content while your college friends are trapped in fluorescent-lit office buildings Things That Will Definitely Happen You'll get wet. You'll get sandy. You'll forget sunscreen exactly once. You'll accidentally end up in someone's vacation photo. You'll have way too much footage on your hard drive. Your camera roll will be better than everyone else's. The Kind of Person We're Looking For You might be: A recent college graduate A self-taught creator A YouTuber A TikTok addict A photographer A filmmaker Somebody who bought a camera and became completely obsessed We care far more about your work than your resume. If you've got talent, hustle, and a good attitude, we want to see it. Bonus Points If You own a drone You know your way around a camera You love the ocean You know how to make people laugh on camera You can carry more than one battery at a time You've ever said "hold on, let me get this shot" in a completely serious tone What Success Looks Like One day of shooting should become: YouTube videos Instagram Reels TikToks Website photos Marketing content Future ad campaigns Our goal is simple: Make people sitting in cold office buildings wonder why they aren't in Hawaiʻi.
