We design and build high-end outdoor kitchens, pergolas, patios, and full landscape transformations. Our work is exceptional. We are looking for someone who can show the world exactly that. About the Role This is not a typical videographer role. We are not looking for someone to press record and hand over raw footage. We are looking for a creative professional who walks onto a job site and immediately sees the story — someone who understands that what we build is a transformation, and knows how to capture it in a way that builds a brand people trust.

You will be embedded in our day-to-day operations — on job sites, behind the scenes at the office, and at client interactions — documenting the full picture of what it means to work with Skyline Exteriors.

The goal is simple:

give potential clients a video worth watching, and build the kind of brand recognition, reputation, credibility, and trust that turns viewers into clients.

This role averages approximately 20 hours per week, with flexibility to scale up during active project periods. Responsibilities Film job site progress, project transformations, and final reveals from start to finish Capture behind-the-scenes content of daily operations at Skyline Exteriors — the team, the process, the culture, and the craft Create short-form content for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook (Reels, Stories, clips) Develop long-form YouTube content including project walkthroughs, before-and-after reveals, and educational series Bring your own creative direction — we want your vision, not just your execution Edit and deliver polished, publish-ready content with minimal back-and-forth Maintain a consistent visual identity across all platforms in alignment with our brand standards Collaborate with the marketing manager to align content with campaign strategy and posting schedule Requirements Minimum 1-3 years of professional videography and content creation experience for businesses — a portfolio or reel is required Strong creative direction ability — you should be able to walk onto a site and immediately know the shot Expert proficiency in professional video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent) Demonstrated experience producing both short-form content (Reels, TikToks) and long-form content (YouTube) Strong eye for composition, lighting, color grading, and visual storytelling Own professional-grade camera equipment (preferred) Self-directed, deadline-driven, and able to manage your own content pipeline Reliable transportation to job sites across the Chicagoland area Experience in construction, home services, or outdoor living is a plus, but not required What We Offer Approximately 20 hours per week with schedule flexibility A creative environment where your ideas are heard and acted on Access to visually compelling, high-end project work that builds your portfolio Opportunity to grow into a full-time role as the brand and content operation scales Work alongside a driven, professional team that takes quality seriously What This Is Not This is not a portfolio-building opportunity.
