Videographer/Editor Description:
The Hanover Theatre & Conservatory (THT) is accepting proposals from a videographer/editor to create a short form video series to be used primarily on social media for marketing purposes. We would like to give audiences a "behind-the-scenes" experience to learn about the process of building our version of The Nutcracker. While this will focus on the journey of the dancer chosen to play the lead character Clara. Our main objective with this series will be to heighten social media engagement, build word of mouth, and ultimately sell tickets. Over the course of 4 months, contractor will shoot and edit 10-15 short videos focusing on the experience of the dancer who will be cast in the role of Clara in THT's production of The Nutcracker. We expect about 40 hours of total shooting time, approximately August 1 - December 1, 2026. Please note that production week and performances are the week of Thanksgiving, with performances Friday - Sunday. T will be no shooting on Thursday, November 26, 2026 (Thanksgiving Day). Timeline focuses on first audition to final performance with 10-15 milestones throughout. No housing, transportation, or equipment will be provided, though parking will be provided. All material shots will be property of The Hanover Theatre Conservatory, and all raw footage will be due at the end of the project.
Qualifications:
Deliverables are expected to include horizontal and vertical formats with minimal audio mixing (both embedded and overlaid) of various lengths (approximately 15 seconds to 2 minutes depending on content captured). Prospective videographers are asked to submit a proposal containing the following: Examples of past work (specifically, short-form video or social media content) Anticipated project costs Proposed turnaround schedule for editing and delivery of final products All applicants must have access to their own equipment and editing software.
