Posting Number 20163136F Job Description Ohio University's School of Media Arts & Studies and Scripps College of Communication invite applications for an adjunct faculty position in Media Arts Production with a focus on audiovisual media and video production for Fall Semester 2026-27. Successful applicants must demonstrate knowledge of and experience in traditional and emerging forms of audiovisual production. Production and teaching experience are vital in the areas of conventional video & audio field production for both fiction and non-fiction media productions. The School of Media Arts & Studies offers B.S., M.A., MFA, and PhD. degrees to approximately 700 students. School Facilities include two state-of-the-art recording studios, professional-grade audio listening lab, two multimedia computer labs, a production studio, as well as significant offerings of field production equipment. The Scripps College of Communication is the academic home of the School of Media Arts & Studies and four other units: The School of Communication Studies, the E.W. Scripps School of journalism, the School of Visual Communication, and the J. Warren McClure School of Information and Telecommunication Systems. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in film, media production or closely related field Previous teaching experience, and an active creative practice Preferred Qualifications Experience in writing for the media, pre-production, production and post-production is preferred In-depth knowledge of Adobe Premiere Department School Of Media Arts & Studies Pay Rate Commensurate with education and experience.
