Job Overview The Social Videographer owns the creation of engaging, high-performing video content for Perk across TikTok, Instagram, paid social, and other digital channels. This role blends the creativity of a social-first content creator with the technical skill of an expert videographer and editor. This is a hands-on creative role for someone who loves making incredible content, understands what makes people stop scrolling, and has the energy to move fast, test ideas, and bring the Perk brand to life every day. You'll concept, shoot, edit, and publish content that makes Perk feel fun, craveable, human, and relevant. You'll work closely with the marketing team to create content for organic social, paid ads, product launches, founder-led videos, influencer collaborations, community moments, retail pushes, and everyday brand storytelling. The ideal person is highly creative, extremely strong behind the camera, and obsessed with making content that people actually want to watch. Responsibilities & Duties
- Create engaging short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, paid social, and other digital channels
- Concept, shoot, and edit social-first videos from start to finish
- Bring fresh creative ideas to the team weekly, including hooks, trends, formats, storylines, and campaign concepts
- Capture high-quality video content of products, people, recipes, routines, events, retail moments, and brand storytelling
- Edit videos with strong pacing, clean cuts, captions, music, sound design, and visual polish
- Create content that feels native to each platform while staying true to the Perk brand
- Partner with the marketing team to turn campaign priorities into compelling social content
- Support product launches with creative video concepts that build excitement and drive action
- Film founder-led, team-led, influencer-led, and customer-led content
- Help develop repeatable content series, formats, and creative angles for Perk
- Stay ahead of social trends and identify ways Perk can participate in a brand-relevant way
- Review performance data and use learnings to improve future content
- Move quickly from idea to execution without needing every detail perfectly mapped out
- Maintain an organized content workflow, including footage, project files, edits, and publishing assets
- Collaborate with paid media, lifecycle, TikTok Shop, and brand marketing to create content that supports growth across channels
- Join weekly sprints with the Perk team to align on priorities and execution Qualifications
- Strong video shooting and editing skills, especially for short-form social content
- Expert-level proficiency with editing tools such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, social trends, hooks, pacing, and platform-native creative
- Ability to concept creative ideas, shoot content, edit quickly, and turn around polished videos
- Strong eye for lighting, framing, composition, audio, and visual storytelling
- Highly creative with strong instincts for what makes content engaging, entertaining, and shareable
- Energetic, positive, and excited to create a high volume of great content
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with quick feedback loops
- Strong taste level and ability to make content feel fun, modern, and on-brand
- Willingness to be scrappy, experiment often, and improve based on performance
- Comfortable filming people, products, lifestyle moments, and behind-the-scenes content
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across a marketing team
- Self-starter mentality with a strong desire to take ownership and grow with the business
