We are hiring a permanent, full-time Import Entry Writer to join our fast-paced team. We need someone who can jump right in, hit the ground running, and ensure the seamless flow of international cargo. Key Responsibilities Customs Entries & Compliance:
Prepare, process, and file accurate import entries through U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) using the ACE and ABI systems.Classification:
Properly classify goods according to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS).ISF Management:
Submit and manage timely Importer Security Filings (ISF / 10+2) to keep supply chains moving without delay.Document Verification & Coordination:
Audit commercial invoices, bills of lading, and packing lists while coordinating directly with clients, carriers, and government agencies.Problem Solving:
Act quickly to resolve customs holds, resolve missing documents, and clear cargo efficiently.Client Care:
Keep our clients informed every step of the way with top-tier updates on clearance timelines and entry status.What We Are Looking For Experience:
1-2 years of hands-on experience in customs brokerage, freight forwarding, or international trade.Technical Expertise:
Strong familiarity withACE, ABI
systems, and standard import software, plus proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Knowledge:
Solid understanding of CBP regulations and HTS classification.Detail-Oriented:
An eagle eye for accuracy—you know that getting the details right the first time prevents costly delays.Education:
High school diploma or GED required (Associate's degree or higher is a plus).Speed & Independence:
