Job Description

Curriculum Writer - Spanish 4 / Spanish 4 Honors (2 teachers, totaling 20 hours, 10 hours/each) We are seeking a Curriculum Writer to revise/update engaging, rigorous instructional materials for Spanish 4 and Spanish 4 Honors. The ideal candidate has a strong background in world language pedagogy, proficiency-based instruction, and curriculum design.
Responsibilities:
Update, revise and write unit plans, lesson plans, assessments, and supplementary materials aligned to Spanish 4 and 4H learning objectives Develop differentiated resources that address both the standard and honors-level rigor, including extended reading, writing, and analytical tasks for the honors track Align content to ACTFL proficiency standards and applicable state or district frameworks Incorporate authentic cultural and literary texts, multimedia resources, and communicative activities Collaborate with teachers and department leads to revise and refine materials based on feedback
Qualifications:
Experience teaching or developing curriculum for upper-level high school Spanish Familiarity with backward design (UbD) - brief training will be provided upon hire on UbD and Atlas platform Knowledge of AP Spanish Language and Culture or AP Spanish Literature is a plus Strong writing, organization, and communication skills
