Job Description

Seeking an experienced Customs Entry Writer with FDA/PGA and Customs Brokerage experience . Candidates must have a proven track record of processing high-volume import entries, ideally 100-150 entries per month, while maintaining accuracy and compliance.

Compensation:
Up to $30/hour .A well-established international logistics and customs brokerage organization is seeking an experienced Customs Entry Writer to join its growing import operations team. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, compliance, and efficiency are highly valued. The ideal candidate has experience processing a high volume of customs entries while ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs and FDA/PGA requirements. Responsibilities Review import documentation for completeness and accuracy Prepare and process customs entries in accordance with company procedures Communicate with internal teams regarding missing documentation or client requirements Process FDA and other PGA filings, including monitoring "May Proceed" releases Research and assign HTS classifications and product codes when needed Monitor Customs, FDA, and other agency releases Notify customers regarding FDA exams or document requests Issue shipment hold and release instructions to carriers and steamship lines Resolve bill of lading discrepancies and entry errors Ensure files are complete before forwarding to the Post-Entry team Support Import Management with classification and compliance initiatives Qualifications 3+ years of Customs Entry Writing or Customs Brokerage experience Experience processing FDA/PGA entries Knowledge of HTS classifications and import documentation Experience working within Customs brokerage software (QuestaWeb experience preferred) Strong Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities Ability to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment Strong communication and customer service skills Preferred Background Candidates with experience in customs brokerage firms, international freight forwarding, or import compliance environments are highly encouraged to apply.
