Xactimate Writer Water Mitigation (On-Site)

Position Overview Roto-Rooter's Water Mitigation Business Unit is seeking a detail-oriented Xactimate Writer to support emergency water damage operations on-site in Allentown, PA. This role is focused exclusively on mitigation estimating (no reconstruction work) and plays a key part in ensuring accurate job costing, insurance approvals, and timely payment. In addition, this position supports Accounts Receivable (AR) functions to help drive efficient billing, collections, and cash flow. Key Responsibilities - Estimating Create Xactimate estimates for water mitigation services only, including: Water extraction Mitigation-related demolition Equipment setup (air movers, dehumidifiers, etc.) Daily monitoring and drying charges Antimicrobial applications Review moisture logs, psychrometric readings, technician notes, and photos Ensure estimates align with

standards Submit estimates, supplements, and revisions to insurance carriers Capture all eligible mitigation line items and revenue opportunities Communicate with insurance adjusters Accounts Receivable (AR) Support Track job status from estimate submission through payment Follow up with insurance carriers on approvals, supplements, and payment status Resolve billing discrepancies and carrier pushback Communicate with customers regarding deductibles and balances Ensure documentation supports timely collections Help reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) Qualifications Xactimate (X1) experience preferred Background in water mitigation, restoration, insurance. Understanding of drying processes and insurance workflows Strong attention to detail and organization Strong communication skills Performance Metrics Estimate accuracy and approval rate Estimate turnaround time Supplement capture Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) Collection rate and reduction in unpaid claims Maximize average ticket Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $48,000-$55,000 Performance incentives tied to estimating and AR performance Health, dental, vision benefits Vacation and paid holidays
