JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the development, design and delivery of communications and communications programs that support HM Insurance Group's brand, vision, mission and the strategic direction of the business. Supports departments throughout HM Insurance Group to develop and position strategic internal and external communications. The incumbent will be responsible for consulting with all levels of management to proactively identify and develop key messages and determine the appropriate media channels to deliver them. Develops presentations, administrative form and guides, internal announcements, and relevant social media communications. This is a hybrid based role in Pittsburgh, PA. Onsite T, W, Th.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as a communications consultant and partner with colleagues, leaders, and various departments to decide what needs to be communicated across our organization. Determine the most effective ways to reach internal audiences with these messages. Contribute to and manage small to medium projects within the assigned area. Develop and execute internal communications plans for special projects or corporate campaigns. These assignments are broad in scope and require depth of knowledge as well as creativity. Plan, research, write, edit, and deliver business and job-related information using digital communications tools (intranets, microsites, emails, key messages, talking points, etc.) to inform team members about our organization's mission, vision, Core Behaviors, strategy, policies, initiatives, and events. Measure the success of your communications efforts using data from tools such as Google Analytics, SharePoint, and Poppulo, as well as through anecdotal feedback and other metrics that are available to you. Provide counsel to those you work with about the best communication practices and tactics to reach the right audience. This includes digital and non-digital channels and tactics. On an ongoing basis, meet with matrixed partners, ensure that messages support Highmark Health's mission, vision, and strategy, and that internal messages align with external messages. Be available, when needed, to respond to internal crisis communication needs. Other duties as assigned or requested.
EDUCATION
Required Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field. Substitutions 6 years of relevant, progressive experience in the area of specialization Preferred None
EXPERIENCE
Required 5 years of Relevant progressive experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field. Preferred Experience working in health care/health insurance or a related field. Experience with editing and proofreading. Experience publishing to a SharePoint platform Experience using and interpreting analytics using tools such as Google Analytics and building and analyzing surveys using tools such as Qualtrics Understanding of desktop publishing (Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft products (including Teams, SharePoint publishing, Excel).
