Full Job Description About:
NYS DACC
is an award-winning organization that provides full-service campaign resources to Democratic candidates for the New York State Assembly.
Overview:
The New York State Democratic Assembly Campaign Committee (DACC) is seeking applications for the position of Writer. DACC helps Democratic candidates across the state win Assembly elections by providing financial assistance and strategic direction. The Writer provides communication services to support the mission of DACC.
Duties:
Assisting in communicating candidates' views; Writing for various print and digital materials (mailers, social media graphics, press releases, etc.); Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word; and Any other such duties as are necessary to the proper operation of this office.
Qualifications:
This is an entry-level position. Candidate should have a bachelor's degree; excellent writing and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and under time pressure; and availability for extended work hours as required to meet campaign deadlines. Desirable qualities include a strong interest in politics, the legislative process, public policy and familiarity with the structure of state government.
Details:
The salary for this position is $50,000 per year and it comes with a competitive benefits package, hybrid work schedule and overtime pay.
