Customs Entry Writer

DCS Group is seeking an experienced Customs Entry Analyst II to join our Houston office. This role supports our Licensed Customs Broker and import team in managing and processing customs entries with accuracy, compliance, and exceptional customer service. What you'll do: Prepare and file customs entries for import shipments in compliance with U.S. Customs and Partner Government Agency (PGA) regulations. Perform HTS classification, validate documents, and ensure correct duty and fee calculations. Coordinate with importers, carriers, and vendors to obtain required documentation for timely clearance. Review and process ISF (Importer Security Filing) submissions. Track and monitor shipments to ensure prompt release and delivery. Update and maintain accurate data in the company's operational system (Jarvis). Communicate effectively with customers, brokers, and internal departments to resolve issues or delays. Support the Customs Broker in auditing and maintaining compliance records. What you'll bring: 2+ years of experience in customs entry, import operations, or freight forwarding. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
