Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Import Specialist to join our growing Houston team at Fracht Group! Duties and Responsibilities:
Process Customs and PGA (Participating Government Agency) entries for clearance of goods into the United States. Receive and review import documentation for proper information and to meet government regulations and identify and resolve any potential issues Ensure timely filings of Importer Security Filings (ISF) and Customs entries. Ensure compliance with regards to U.S. Government regulatory agencies such as FDA, EPA, USFWS, etc. Collaborate and build relationships with internal and external customers. Provide all manner of customer service and communications. Demonstrate strong decision-making skills and ability to prioritize tasks between daily responsibilities. Adhere to a high level of operational excellence with respect to on time performance, accuracy, and customer service. Demonstrate proactive, professional, clarity, and reliability to internal and external customers through verbal and written communication. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years of Customs brokerage/entry writing experience. Working knowledge of rules and regulations of the other government agencies (i.e.: FDA, USDA, DOT, FCC, etc.). Good analytical and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy High Energy, proactive, detail oriented with an ability to manage and complete multiple tasks on time. Ability to multi-task and make quick decisions in a fast-paced, ever changing work environment.
