Are you an educator ready to make a difference in the lives of birth to 3-year-olds and their families as a Developmental Specialist Early Interventionist? The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare Infant Toddler Program seek unique individuals who can provide key evidence-based practices that support caregiver know-how and development of their infants/toddler's experiencing delays or disabilities. The geographical assignment is within Bonner and Boundary Counties, based out of the Ponderay office. Travel is required to provide in-person evaluations and services in the child's natural environments, such as home, childcare, etc. Services are provided in the child's natural environments applying coaching interaction methods. Services to families may include using virtual early intervention presence as well as in-person visits. Interventionists apply evidence-based practices built on providing caregiver consultation, coaching strategies, and parent education to capitalize on the learning opportunities within family routines. The Idaho Department of Health & Welfare is a drug-free workplace. Any applicant offered employment in this position at the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test. In addition, successful candidates will be required to complete a criminal history background investigation. Employment is dependent upon satisfactory results of the investigation.
