In this essential role, you'll provide specialized instruction and advocacy to help students with hearing challenges fully engage in their educational experience. The position is full-time (35 hours per week), running from August 5, 2026, through May 19, 2027, with specific caseload and age group details to be shared as enrollment is finalized.

Key Qualifications:

Valid and active Department of Education certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing instruction Previous experience working with deaf or hard of hearing students in K-12 educational settings strongly preferred Proficiency in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) Ability to effectively collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, teachers, and families Commitment to promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment Must complete fingerprinting and meet required credentialing standards within specified timelines

Primary Responsibilities:
