In this vital role, you will assist in comprehensive diagnostic assessments and assist in patient care within a medical office setting. Your expertise will support accurate diagnoses, ensure patient safety, and facilitate seamless clinic operations. Duties Conduct patient intake by collecting detailed medical histories and verifying insurance information while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA privacy regulations. Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and oxygen saturation to support clinical evaluations. Assist in performing EMG tests Assist healthcare providers during examinations by preparing patients and ensuring proper use of diagnostic tools. Maintain accurate medical records within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Athena or other EMR platforms, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality. Apply aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infections and uphold the highest standards of patient safety. Support front desk operations by scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling administrative tasks related to medical records and billing. Utilize medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology insights, and ophthalmology expertise to interpret test results accurately. Engage in retail sales activities when appropriate by explaining optical products or services to patients, combining clinical knowledge with sales skills. Collaborate with team members across clinic departments to ensure smooth workflow, effective communication, and exceptional patient care. Required to travel to various states, as travel expenses will be fully covered by the company and accurate expense logging is necessary Experience Previous experience in a medical office or clinical setting is highly preferred, particularly within an interventional medical setting Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems such as Athena or similar platforms for documentation and data management. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, medical coding, billing practices, and HIPAA compliance standards. Experience performing diagnostic tests related to vision care or general medical assessments is advantageous. Retail sales experience combined with front desk or administrative duties enhances ability to manage patient interactions effectively. Knowledge of intake procedures, vital signs measurement, aseptic techniques, and clinic operations is essential for success in this role. Ability to communicate clearly with patients of all ages while demonstrating professionalism and empathy throughout the diagnostic process.
