Pay Range:
$35.00 $38.00/hour (Commensurate with experience)
Schedule:
1st Shift Direct Hire Are you a skilled Die Maker or Repair Technician looking for a role where you can truly "take the lead"? We are launching a new stamping initiative at our facility and need a proactive expert to own the process. This isn't just a maintenance roleits an opportunity to establish procedures, optimize performance, and be the go-to authority on our press floor. The Opportunity While we are not building dies from scratch in-house, we require a high-level technician to manage the lifecycle of our progressive tooling. You will be working with high-speed stamping of precision small brackets and electrical components (15-ton to 80-ton presses). What makes this different? You aren't working on massive automotive frames. Our focus is on precision, thin-gauge material where the "small details"make the biggest difference.
Core Responsibilities Preventative Maintenance:
Perform routine cleaning, inspection, and sharpening of punches and dies to ensure zero-defect production.
Precision Tooling:
Set and align punches; polish forms to maintain high-speed stamping standards.
Process Leadership:
Create and follow standardized set-up procedures for our new equipment.
Optimization:
Identify opportunities for tooling improvements and efficiency gains.
Collaboration:
Work with long-distance support teams during the initial launch phase to ensure a seamless transition.
Requirements Experience:
Proven background in Die Repair or Die Making, specifically with progressive dies .
Technical Skill:
Expertise in sharpening, polishing, and setting small, high-precision tooling.
Leadership Mindset:
Ability to work independently and take charge of a new department.
Flexibility:
Must be willing to undergo short-term travel at the start of the role for training and process integration.
Precision Focus:
Experience with high-speed stamping of small components is highly preferred. #troy
