The Diagnostic Technician will play a vital role in conducting comprehensive eye assessments, operating advanced diagnostics equipment, and supporting our team of techs generally. What You'll Do Perform advanced diagnostics on diesel engines w/ an emphasis on transmissions Interpret fault codes, analyze live data streams, and conduct component-level testing to identify root causes. Collaborate with service advisors to explain findings in clear, customer-friendly language. Recommend precise repair solutions and verify repairs through post-service testing. Stay current with evolving engine technologies, emissions systems, and diagnostic software updates. Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. What You'll Bring Proven experience in transmission diagnostics, ideally 3+ years in a professional shop environment. Proficiency with diagnostic tools Strong understanding of transmissions, engine management systems, fuel injection, ignition, and emissions controls. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical service bulletins. ASE certification in Engine Performance (A8) or equivalent is a plus.
