Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of machinery used in industrial, agricultural, and transportation settings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse equipment, including farm machinery, heavy construction equipment, and commercial vehicles, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills to keep operations running smoothly. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, brakes, suspension systems, and electrical components using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) schematics and advanced automotive diagnostics tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, trailers, and other industrial machinery to ensure they meet safety standards and operational efficiency. Fabricate parts or modifications as needed using power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and hand tools to support equipment repair or customization projects. Execute routine vehicle maintenance tasks including tire service, air brake inspections, wheel alignments, oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks. Troubleshoot electrical systems within machinery or vehicles; repair wiring harnesses or sensors to restore proper functionality. Assist with assembly or disassembly of complex equipment components during repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain detailed service records of all repairs performed; ensure compliance with safety regulations and OEM specifications. Support heavy lifting operations safely using appropriate tools and techniques; participate in preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime. Qualifications Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership experience preferred; strong background in automotive repair and heavy equipment maintenance. Preferably at least 2 years experience Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals; ability to interpret OEM specifications accurately. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; familiarity with power tools and hand tools essential for daily tasks. Mechanical knowledge of farm machinery and industrial equipment; ability to perform complex repairs efficiently. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members or clients. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; experience working with heavy machinery operation is a plus. Certification in diesel engine repair or related fields is highly desirable but not required atleast 2 years experience preferred ; relevant licenses or certifications are a plus.
