  • Full-time Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team.
In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. Your expertise will ensure the safety, reliability, and optimal performance of machinery used across various industries, including transportation, construction, agriculture, and industrial operations. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brake systems, suspension components, and other heavy equipment systems using schematics and specialized tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on diverse machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and power tools. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, and hand tools to ensure proper fit and function. Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform automotive diagnostics to identify issues accurately and efficiently. Maintain detailed service records, complete repair reports, and document all work performed to ensure compliance with safety standards. Assist with equipment assembly, alignment procedures, tire service, shocks & struts replacement, brake repair, HVAC system servicing, and other mechanical tasks. Support heavy lifting activities safely while adhering to all safety protocols and industry best practices. Skills Proven experience working in a dealership environment or heavy equipment service setting. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC systems, and electrical components. Skilled in using schematics for troubleshooting complex machinery issues. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons and other fabrication tools. Experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts or tractor-trailers is highly desirable. Ability to perform automotive repair tasks including brake repair, tire service, alignment adjustments and vehicle maintenance. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
