Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance and repair team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel equipment, including trucks, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and construction vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that all machinery operates efficiently, safely, and reliably. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse equipment types and cutting-edge diagnostic tools in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence in vehicle maintenance and repair. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) schematics and electronic diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs and maintenance on variety of fleet equipment, pickup trucks, medium duty trucks, commercial class 8 trucks and trailers, to construction equipment excavators, dozers, skid loaders, telehandlers, dozers, wheel loaders. Repair and replace critical components including transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical wiring, internal engine work. Fabricate parts or modify equipment as needed using hand tools, power tools, welding, soldering, torching and other fabrication techniques to ensure optimal performance. Maintain detailed service records of all repairs performed, and parts replaeced, interpret schematics for troubleshooting complex mechanical or electrical problems. Conduct preventive maintenance tasks such as tire service, brake repair, HVAC system checks and service, and general vehicle servicing to extend equipment lifespan. Operate heavy machinery safely during repair procedures and assist with heavy lifting or equipment movement when required. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in diesel engine repair and vehicle maintenance; dealership experience or similar diesel repair shop experience preferred. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including construction equipment, class 8 trucks, forklifts, and farm machinery. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals related to OEM specifications; strong electrical experience is a plus. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other fabrication tools necessary for repairs. Knowledge of transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC systems, and tire service procedures. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments; excellent customer service skills are essential for interacting with clients or team members. Certifications related to automotive diagnostics or heavy equipment repair are advantageous; valid driver's license required. Comercial drivers license is a plus, can help get one if do not have.
