Diesel Mechanic

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and experience in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and heavy equipment. This role requires proficiency in various mechanical systems, including hydraulics, electrical systems, and vehicle maintenance. The Diesel Mechanic will work on a range of equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are met. Duties Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, including Freightliner, Volvo, Mack and other heavy machinery. Conduct routine maintenance on vehicles, including tractor-trailers. Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical issues related to transmissions, air brakes, alignment, hydraulics, suspension, and HVAC systems. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for assembly and repair tasks. Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on vehicles. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their equipment needs. Adhere to safety protocols while performing heavy lifting and operating machinery. Experience Previous experience as a mechanic with a focus on diesel engines is required. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and maintenance practices is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Electrical experience or service technician experience is beneficial for this role. Up to $40.00 per hour
