ABOUT US
We are a road preservation manufacturing company looking for a highly skilled and expert Diesel Mechanic for a full-time position based out of Visalia, California. We have over 30+ years of experience and specialize in industry-leading commercial, residential and municipal asphalt/road preservation with a fleet of state-of-the-art equipment. Applicant must have previous Diesel Mechanic experience, a positive attitude, be self-motivated, and reliable. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs with a strong focus on safety and quality control. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a key role in keeping our equipment running to avoid downtime.
SUMMARY:
We are looking for a highly proficient Diesel Mechanic who will work directly in-house to ensure that all electrical, engine, hydraulic and mechanical issues of all company equipment are diagnosed in an accurate and timely manner. Any person can be an R&R mechanic, but we need someone to get to the root of the issue the first time.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ability to inspect and diagnose mechanical issues quickly and efficiently Ability to efficiently communicate mechanical issues Ensures a safe work environment that complies with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment Performs diagnostic tasks to properly source parts and accurately repair heavy equipment and vehicles, including but not limited to diesel and gas trucks, trailers, loaders, etc Cleans, lubricates, and performs preventative maintenance work on equipment and vehicles Overhauls and tests machines or equipment to ensure operating efficiency Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, repairing and replacing damaged or worn parts Troubleshoot and rewire electrical systems Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with the manufacturer's specifications Researches, orders, and maintains the inventory of parts for service and repairs Completes/reviews all paperwork as necessary, including but not limited to work orders, parts requests, logs, etc Make service calls and roadside repairs as needed Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, the right candidate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily while meeting the requirements below :
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
H.S. diploma/GED required Associate degree a plus Diagnostic Mechanic experience: 3-5 years preferred Must be proficient in Electrical, Engine, Hydraulic, and Mechanical diagnostics A valid CA driver's license Be able to pass random drug testing Welding & fabrication a plus
KNOWLEDGE/ SKILL
Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills Strong sense of personal accountability and a proven track record of achieving desired results Strong verbal and written communication skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as a member of a team Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment Detail oriented Maintenance and Technical experience in a shop a must Must be able to perform physical activities Ability to lift 75 pounds •Must be within a reasonable driving distance to Santa Maria, CA •

COMPENSATION
Salary:
$100k - $150k (Depending on Experience)
