reviews $35•$45 an hour•Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of our fleet and machinery. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse industrial equipment, farm machinery, and heavy-duty vehicles, contributing directly to operational success and customer satisfaction. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, and electrical components using OEM specifications and schematics. Conduct repairs and maintenance on a variety of equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and farm machinery. Fabricate parts or modifications as needed using power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and hand tools to meet specific operational requirements. Rebuild or replace engine components such as pistons, valves, turbochargers, and fuel systems to ensure peak engine performance. Inspect and service air brake systems, alignments, HVAC units, tires, and wheel assemblies to uphold safety standards. Utilize heavy equipment operation skills for lifting and moving large parts or machinery during repair processes. Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues efficiently. Skills Proven dealership or heavy equipment service technician experience with a strong mechanical knowledge base. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics and electrical troubleshooting techniques. Extensive experience working with OEM parts and understanding of factory specifications. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding, soldering, assembly, and heavy lifting. Familiarity with excavator, crane, forklift operation along with tractor-trailer maintenance. Knowledge of hydraulics, air brake systems, transmissions, HVAC systems, suspension components, and tire service. Ability to read schematics accurately and work from technical manuals effectively. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients about repairs and maintenance needs. Capable of working with power tools and hand tools safely while maintaining high-quality standards in all tasks.
