Duties Perform comprehensive repairs and maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, and air brake systems to ensure optimal performance. Conduct diagnostic assessments using schematics and electrical testing tools to identify issues accurately and efficiently. Fabricate and modify parts using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair needs. Service and repair heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and other industrial machinery. Utilize heavy lifting techniques safely when handling large components or equipment; perform tire service and wheel alignments as needed. Follow safety protocols during all repair activities; maintain a clean and organized work environment. Read and interpret schematics for electrical systems, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and mechanical assemblies to troubleshoot effectively. Qualifications Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Service Technician with dealership or heavy equipment background preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, hydraulics, and HVAC systems. Skilled in automotive diagnostics using schematics and electronic testing tools; capable of troubleshooting complex issues efficiently. Hands-on experience with fabrication, welding (including soldering), assembly, and equipment repair. Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial equipment safely. Familiarity with farm machinery, tractor-trailers, automotive repair standards including tire service and wheel alignment. Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, service manuals, and electrical testing devices. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly; committed to safety standards at all times. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly; willingness to work in various weather conditions as required.
