Job Description

Diesel Diagnostic Mechanic I MUST relocate to Leadville, CO-area $30-$40.50/hour + $10,200 Annual Bonus $15K-$20K Relocation Assistance (if eligible) $1,450 Monthly Housing Allowance (if eligible) Competitive Benefits + 401(k) Match Description Highly skilled mechanic who safely performs diagnostic, maintenance and repair of heavy equipment such as, but not limited to: Haul Trucks, Water Trucks, Rubber Tire and Track Dozers, Front-end Loaders, and Motor Graders. Perform the removal, repair and installation of transmissions, engines, brakes, differentials, pumps, motors, torque converters, final drives and other heavy equipment systems or components Perform mechanical and lubrication preventive maintenance on machine systems such as: hydraulic, power train and engines Prioritize and make decisions regarding equipment repair as needed Responsible for maintaining work orders and performing work area inspections Operate mobile equipment such as: overhead cranes, forklifts, and boom trucks Perform welding such as: Carbon Arc, Plasma, MIG, TIG, and Stick Perform as a Fill-in Supervisor as required Train and mentor other employees Perform other duties as required Qualifications Minimum Qualifications 2+ years heavy equipment/diesel/mechanical experience Hydraulics & diagnostics experience Welding/fabrication is a plus Comfortable in outdoor/high elevation environments Strong troubleshooting & safety mindset Preferred / Not Required High School diploma or GED Two (2) years experience of Heavy Equipment mechanic skills in the Construction or Mining field. Diagnostic experience in the discipline of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, A/C, Powertrain, and Electrical. CAT, Komatsu, or John Deere mechanical experience or skills.
