Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. All different brands of trucks, from f-550s to tandem axle trucks. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, brakes, suspension systems, and electrical components. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as semi tractors, cab and chassis trucks, service trucks, box trucks, and smaller diesel trucks Fabricate custom parts or modifications using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to meet specific repair needs. Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems within equipment and vehicles to maintain proper climate control standards. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document repairs accurately to ensure compliance with industry standards. Skills Proven dealership or heavy equipment service technician experience with a strong mechanical background. Extensive knowledge of diesel engine repair, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension systems, and alignment procedures. Ability to read and interpret OEM schematics and technical manuals effectively. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding, soldering, and assembly of mechanical parts. Proficient with automotive diagnostics tools and electrical testing equipment for troubleshooting complex issues. Experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or tractor-trailers safely and efficiently. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members. Capable of performing heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during maintenance tasks.
