Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic Service Technician to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, Roadside Service and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel equipment. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and longevity of our fleet and machinery. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brake systems, suspension, and electrical components using schematics and OEM specifications. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other farm or industrial machinery. Fabricate custom parts or modifications as needed using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to ensure proper fit and function. Replace or repair brake systems, alignments, tires, powertrain components, HVAC systems, and perform heavy lifting tasks safely with appropriate equipment. Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform automotive diagnostics to identify root causes efficiently. Maintain detailed service records of all repairs performed; adhere to safety protocols during all maintenance activities. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service orders while providing excellent customer service. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with dealership or heavy equipment service background preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brake systems, suspension components, and electrical systems. Experience with diagnostics and repairs. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as tractor-trailers safely and efficiently. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on precision troubleshooting using automotive diagnostics tools. Strong customer service orientation with clear communication skills for interacting with clients and team members alike. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly; comfortable working in various environmental conditions.
