Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel equipment, including trucks, and farm machinery. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brake systems, suspension, and electrical components using schematics and OEM specifications. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as forklifts, tractors, trailers, and other industrial machinery. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and fabrication techniques to assemble or repair mechanical parts. Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues involving HVAC systems, alignment problems, tire service, brake repairs, and hydraulic failures. Operate heavy machinery safely during repairs or testing procedures to ensure proper functionality post-service. Maintain detailed service records including inspection reports, repair logs, and diagnostic findings for each piece of equipment serviced. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status clearly and offering recommendations for ongoing maintenance. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engines and heavy equipment repair; dealership experience is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including transmissions, hydraulics, suspension, electrical systems, and air brakes. Proficiency in reading schematics and OEM manuals to accurately diagnose issues. Skilled in fabrication techniques such as welding and assembly of mechanical components. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools and power tools essential for efficient repairs. Ability to perform precise vehicle maintenance tasks including alignment and tire service with attention to detail. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong customer service orientation.
