Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Mechanic Service Technician and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing heavy-duty equipment, industrial machinery, and commercial vehicles. In this energetic role, you will diagnose, troubleshoot, and service a wide range of diesel-powered equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep operations running smoothly across construction sites, farms, transportation hubs, and industrial facilities. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, and electrical components using OEM schematics and service manuals. Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, alignments, and system inspections to prevent future issues. Fabricate parts or modify equipment using hand tools, power tools, welding, soldering, and other fabrication techniques to meet specific job requirements. Repair and maintain heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, farm machinery, and industrial equipment to ensure safety and efficiency. Operate heavy machinery safely during repair or testing procedures while adhering to all safety protocols related to HVAC systems, power tools, and heavy lifting. Interpret technical schematics and electrical diagrams to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues efficiently. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair findings clearly and offering maintenance recommendations to clients or team members. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with dealership or industrial equipment repair preferred. Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, and vehicle maintenance. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; familiarity with OEM parts is a plus. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately for diagnostics and repairs. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and heavy equipment operation. Experience working with excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery or similar heavy-duty equipment highly desirable. Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with strong problem-solving skills; customer service experience is advantageous.
