Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Field Technician to join Bay Area Diesel LLC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, heavy equipment, marine applications, and/or power generation with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues efficiently. The expectation is not experience in all fields, but expertise in at least one area, as the scope of work we are involved with is broad (OJT is offered for areas of less experience). As a Bay Area Diesel Field Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our customers equipment, contributing to the overall success of our operations. We are a growing business serving the Gulf Coast from Houston to Brownsville. Duties Perform comprehensive diesel engine repairs and maintenance on various vehicles and equipment. Assemble and disassemble engine/equipment components as needed for repairs. Conduct field operations and repairs independently Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical problems. Interpret schematics and technical manuals to guide repair processes. Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used. Operate and maintain a field service vehicle Have and Maintain required personal tools Collaborate with other service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment. Experience Proven experience (4+ years) as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, power generation, marine applications, and hydraulic components. Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment used in diesel and equipment repair. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. A valid driver's license is required.
TWIC, MSHA
recommended or have the ability to attain within 6 months of hiring; additional certifications are a plus.
