Job Description

Diesel Service Technician Our client is seeking a skilled Diesel Service Technician who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and values being part of a dependable, team-oriented environment. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on problem-solving, values consistency and craftsmanship, and is motivated to build a long-term career in the heavy-duty vehicle industry. You'll join a team that emphasizes doing the job right the first time while providing reliable, customer-focused service. This role is on-site in Farmington, Missouri. Diesel Service Technician Responsibilities Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on diesel and heavy-duty vehicles in alignment with manufacturer and company standards. Accurately identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner. Complete work orders, documentation, and inspections with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to all safety protocols. Collaborate with team members and service advisors to ensure efficient workflow and high customer satisfaction. Diesel Service Technician Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a truck dealership or heavy-duty service environment. Strong working knowledge of diesel engines, including systems from major manufacturers such as Cummins or Detroit Diesel. Relevant certifications (e.g., ASE, manufacturer-specific) are strongly preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in a shop environment. High school diploma or equivalent required; CDL and experience in flat-rate or commission-based environments are preferred.
