Diesel Shop Foreman/Technician Freightliner, Detroit Diesel, Cummins, Caterpillar $50.00/HR $15,000.00 Signing Bonus• We're looking to add an experienced shop foreman to our new Freightliner and Isuzu store in East Providence, Rhode Island. The Shop Foreman will ensure that qualified diesel mechanics perform repairs correctly, efficiently and timely. That the service department maintains a consistently high level of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Dispatch technician(s) to mechanical segments that match their skill level to ensure quality. Maintain high-quality repairs and minimizes comebacks. Conduct periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality. Recruit, hire, and motivate qualified diesel mechanics. Assist mechanics in developing their skills with the support of the Service Manager. Provide technical support for mechanics when necessary. Check the repair progress of each repair order throughout the day.

Qualifications:

Be prepared for work, the shop is busy! Minimum of 5 years' experience repairing / maintaining class 7- 8 trucks - with solid technical practices. Accurate Diagnostic and Troubleshooting skills required. Possess a complete set of tools. Have strong communication skills with the ability to document repairs accurately and clearly. Be adaptable and anxious to meet the needs of our customers in a high-volume, fast- paced environment. Work with team members closing, being an educator and motivator.
