Job Description

Overview We are a fast-growing diesel repair shop servicing our sister company fleet of 50+ trucks and 50+ trailers, along with a wide range of customer equipment. Our shop works on light-duty, medium-duty, heavy-duty diesel trucks, trailers, and equipment, giving technicians exposure to a large variety of repairs and diagnostics every day. We are looking for both entry-level technicians who are eager to learn the diesel industry and experienced mechanics who can troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair vehicles independently with minimal supervision. Ideal candidates are motivated, dependable, hardworking, and take pride in quality work. Our shop environment is fast-paced and hands-on, with opportunities to grow, learn advanced diagnostics, and work alongside experienced technicians on real-world repairs. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, and electrical systems across various heavy equipment and vehicles. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, air brake adjustments, wheel alignments, and HVAC system checks to ensure equipment longevity. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues efficiently. Fabricate parts or components as needed using hand tools, power tools, welding, soldering, and other fabrication techniques. Operate heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and farm or industrial equipment safely and effectively. Assist with assembly and disassembly of equipment components during repairs or upgrades. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document all repairs performed to ensure compliance with safety standards. Skills Proven experience working in a dealership environment or heavy equipment service setting. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC systems, and brake repair. Proficiency with automotive diagnostics tools and schematics for troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding, soldering, and the use of hand tools and power tools. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working on large machinery or vehicle components. Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and farm machinery. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
